I had a blast. family said it was "ok".
the tires, Goodyear Duratrac's 245/75 R16 on stock suspension performed AMAZINGLY well. no rubbing at all and i'm certain i went through full articulation on several occasions on the south loop.
here are a few pics of the beast.
wife showing her enthusiasm.
a few of the classic "jeep" pose.
and one of my little lady enjoying the great outdoors.
all in all a great day, first time really pushing the rover and it performed better than i thought it would. you throw her in 4 low and she pulls out of some really unbelievable stuff.

Looks Great! I am surprised you didn't have any rub, good for you. The 245's may be just narrow enough to work though. May just want to check your radius arms for rub marks on the back side when at full turn, unless you already adjusted your steering stops. I have 265's and they rubbed without adjusting the stops.

Hi Jonathan,
I saw your rig today, the black-on-black looks sweet!
Regarding sizes, I also ran 245/75/16s on my stock suspension without rubbing at normal steering ranges. At lock I'd get some minor rub on the inner fender, but never enough to make it worth drilling a hole and zip tying it back a bit. I had considered the "Camel cut" as well, but also was never needed.
The tires I have are Bridgestone Maxx Traction MT (a mild MT/aggressive AT with an actual snowflake snow rating--they rock!), which may be similar in overall profile to the Goodyears. The Goodyears are getting a great rep as an all-arounder and if I can't get the Maxx Tractions at the next change, I'd get the Goodyears without reservation.
BTW... I think my wife would have similar enthusiam for wheelin' as yours does.
