If you do not have floor mats for your truck I definetly recommend some, I have WeatherTech floor mats, that came with my truck.
I have hauled all kinds of stuff in the back on my Rover and the rear carpet still looks like new.

600lbs of yard mulch.

A cast iron stove and fire wood.

Plus countless other items and when I remove the floor mat to clean it, the carpet still looks brand new.

Actually I hauled it for a friend of mine a couple of years ago.
He bought it for his back yard for backyard fires after his chimichuna fire thingy broke.
We drove a hour away to get it, he bought it off of Craig's List.
He bought me lunch in return for driving him up there and back.
He also home brews, it's fun sitting in his back yard with the kids roasting marshmallows and hot dogs while we try different brews.
