Default 1964 Series II typical VIN numbering - last digit number or letter?

So I just bought a series II, and the last digit of the VIN on the bulkhead is a little hard to read. Should it be a letter or a number? It looks like a B but could be an 8. Of course the title doesn’t help…that shows a 0 so it’ll have to get sorted out one way or another.

It's a letter, it's an indication of how many upgrades the model has had, mines a 69 and it's a G
