Does anyone have any experience with replacing steering components on a 1980 Santana Series 3 88? Have you found standard LR steering components to fit properly on a Santana?
I'm still troubleshooting, but already know I"ll need new ball joints...and possibly either a steering relay or a steering box...or, worst case, maybe both.
I see multiple sources offering LR parts, but hardly anyone has any technical data on Santanas that confirm LR steering components are interchangeable. I know from experience, some Santana parts are not the same as standard LR parts.
Before I try ordering any parts, I'd like to hear from anyone who has had good luck replacing original Santana steering components with aftermarket LR parts.
