Hello, lets try this again.. Would anyone who how to change the level arm sensor on the fuel sending unit? I purchase the fuel sending unit but the wrong arm is in the unit. Do I have to disassemble the unit by unfolding the tabs?

I need to swap the level arm

 

I recently bought one off Ebay , fitted ok and no problems , you have not said if you bought the correct one for your truck , if wrong send back and get the right one easy !!

 

I’d make sure first before modifying the new one. In either case getting the correct one for you vehicle seems the best approach but maybe you have a reason for going this route.

 

Well I bought three years ago and so it would be impossible to return now. They supply the extra arm to change out! I have a petrol engine. 2.25l. According to the seller when I bought it is was correct. Oddly enough BritParts technical team told me that they DO NOT know how to swap the arms?
