Well it looks and sounds like our journey's are about to begin together... I will try to play with the engine within the next few weeks once I get it in doors. travelling 25 mins each way to work on it after work in a friend field has been time consuming.

It looks pretty intact at least, a great base to start from. Those rusty foot wells are very common. My RH side was bad so I cut out the bad material and screwed in a nice replacement piece of sheet steel, not that hard to do. For the time being you could put some fibreglass in, or just ignore it too.
