Hi I'm in the process of rebuilding a series IIa diesel cylinder head. The head has failed a pressure test and has a small leak on the top side of the pushrod tube. What I can see online is this tube has an o-ring on the top and bottom side. The tube is reluctant to come out as I'm guessing that there is rust on the inside and will require a trip to the machine shop to bore out.
Is the any reason I can't silver solder the top and bottom?
Does anyone know of a link to someone who has carried out a repair on this tube leaking.
