I have recently purchased a series 3 Land Rover. I have a hard top and a soft top. Ideally I would like to mainly use it either with the soft top or no roof but I am struggling to find a secure way of transporting surfboards in these configurations. The board is around 9ft long and wondered if anybody on here has created some sort of solution. My first thoughts were either a side mounted rack (potentially dangerous) or some sort of temporary extension coming out from the open tailgate.

 

In the same boat as you. We're you able to find a suitabke solution for your surfboard? Running a 9-0 as well. Have yet to figure out a way to carry it on the roof with the soft top on. Any tips appreciated.
