Default Is this ok? Rocker shaft tower pics

So I'm doing a valve job and I ordered new rocker arms and shafts thinking I would reuse the rocker towers. As I cleaned them I found f one like this:

Those are pits in the aluminum. So, can I still use it? Why wouldn't you reuse it?

likely ok to reuse....the rocker shaft doesn't move in the towers...the bolts go thru both...just clean 'em up

It's from the engine rebuild manual.

No problem I'm doing the same job. It turned out that alotvif the pin holes in the pushrods seats on the rocker arms were clogger up. I cleared them out and I hope it fixes my tick.

If that fixes your tick please post it! I think that is where my tick originates from.

Yeah I really hope so. I should be putting the truck back together on Friday or Saturday. So I'll post if it fixes it then.
