I have the iCarsoft model and am frankly not too happy with it. It's slow and buggy. I used it on some private owner and dealership cars when I was in the market, and it caused every dash light to throw for 10+ minutes. I thought the one shady dealership was going to have me killed. Thankfully, the lights eventually went away...

This interface looks very similar to iCarsoft. Does anyone have some opinions on this unit vs iCarsoft?

I have the iCarsoft CR Plus which is pretty good for using on a multitude of foreign and American car models. But...
Today I recieved the UltraGuage Blue OBDII adaptor and app ($75) to use on my 2001 Disco with my iPhone 6+. Before this purchase, I researched to see what was the best OBDII Module for a Disco and found the UltraGauge Blue, ELM327 Wi-Fi and the PLZ KIWI 3. I was leaning more towards the Kiwi 3 but went with the UG Blue.

The only problem I found at first was that I spent an hour cussing out the module because I thought Bluetooth was plug and play. NOPE!
First off, I have an iPhone 6+ with iOS 9.2 and had problems connecting to the Blue module.
- I figured out that I had to have Bluetooth "OFF" on my iPhone and the UltraGauge app not active.
- Then have the ignition key turned to "RUN" position and then press the Blue module's button for 10 seconds to have the "Attention" icon illuminated.
- Once that happens, I turned on the iPhone's Bluetooth connection, selected "UltraGauge Blue" BlueTooth connection and waited for it to pair with the iPhone.
- After that happened I open the UltraGauge app. You'll hear a car engine start up which signifies the app connected to the Blue module and ECU.
- After that it's all about choosing what information that you want to see on your smart phone from your Disco's ECU.

With this set up, I was extremely surprised to see that my coolant system thermostat is not the 180 degree thermostat (while parked ran the temps up to 200 degrees), my intake air temperature was high asf and that my O2 sensors are working quite well in regards to .8-.9 volts they were erratically receiving.

After cruising around Atlanta for the past hour, I'm very impressed with the Blue module and the iOS app. I'm also glad that there is an option to tailor the gauge specificaly to what you want to the LR diagnostics that you want to view (see my configuration below).

On another note... if Baremark or Lynx ever go this route with the OBDII BluetTooth 4.0 connector and a smart phone app, they'll have my money. $$$$$$$
Hint... Hint...

Just bought Autel Autolink al319 and I unable to install this device. Don’t understanding it is faulty device or I am doing something wrong in the installation process. Is there any way to understand that it is a faulty obd2 scanner?
Update: problem solved. It was socket problem.

I have the Autel MaxiDiag 802 "all systems" tool. It will read and erase codes that generate a check engine light.....that's it.
I tried several times to update the tool for the other "systems" only to get an error message that some file is corrupted. I never could figure it out so I requested assistance thru the seller on Amazon. They refunded my money and said keep the tool. WTF!
Funny thing is, I can hook it to my 2016 4 runner and it will do a full systems check with the press of one button.

Checking fuse for and power at OBD2 socket usually a good way to start.

You may want to check the reader on another vehicle to see if it works and/or try another reader on your vehicle.

Thanks number9. It is a socket problem. I need to give hand force to work. I bought this Autel al619 scanner after reading this https://obd2scanners.org/autel/al619-review/. I thought, it will be a good choice to buy. After buying i thought it was a bad choice to buy. After solving the problem, I am thinking it was a great choice to buy
