Thanks, yes, tried it first with that tool but was too tight and screw wont grip. But anyway, i had overheating problem now it gets warmer and changed possible suspects. But guys please take note with this problem. The plastic shroud is sticking to the fan sometimes and stopping air circulation. Once i open hood everything seems to be ok because i can see the fan turning but when i close hood it press down to the fan and stops it from turning. Very hard to diagnose. Please take note incase you get same problem.

Mine seems like there is no clearance at all between that fan shroud and the fan blades. Is that something that could be removed in order to prevent the possibility of it hitting the fan and causing problems?

its not advisable to remove that. It helps concentrate the air flow to the radiator like a wind tunnel effect. Better check the radiator rubber mounting so the radiator wont lean towards the fan. I had to pull the shroud together with top radiator frame towards the grill just a temporary fix until i have more time to replace the mount.

curious - was there any visible signs on the fan? Such as marks where it hit the shroud that we should look for?

very hard to tell because the fan turns fast at times and it scrapes both plastic blade and shroud very smooth. The only sign for me was too late when I felt the top of the shroud like paper thin. Not so visible because there is a yellow sticker covering it.
