headliner removal: necessary to remove seats?
Searched and re-read Hilltopersx's beautiful pictorial about headliner removal. He, nor Rave, mention seat removal. But I seem to recall some of you that have tackled it have removed the seats. Necessary? Simply makes it easier? Can I get some input from experience?
Thanks!

Take all your headrests off all seats then fold the back seats down. Move the front seats as far forward as they will go then lay them down as far as they will go. This will give you the most room possible without removing the seats. Tilt the headliner and fit it back in but be careful and go slow you want to bend the liner to much cause it my leave a crease. Screwin the rear ol $%#@ handles in first, this will support the headliner and everything else will be a breeze. If you have a buddy to help its way easier but you can tackle the beast single handedly if you have too.
Good luck and post some pics of it

Absolutely unnecessary to remove the seats.

The paint I rolled on has stuck like glue and is washable. Again, see my original post from 2010
Good luck
