Default Seat removal not required for headliner removal

Thanks!
I didn't remove the seats and didn't have any problems. I completed the job in a few hours and it still looks good after several years. Actually removing the seats will probably double the time and add unnecessary headaches. I actually used the top of the seats (headrests) by extending them to serve as an extra set of hands to keep the liner as close as possible to the roof. The liner is very flimsy fiberglass and you don't want unnecessary kinks/creases to develop if it buckles. The seat headrest keeps it from excessive drooping and buckling. The slight wrinkles that do exist mimic leather (after painting) in my humble opinion.

As a side note, something that I did include in my post, find long twist-ties (like you get in shipping/ packaging) or a similar thin but strong flexible material (maybe a strong braided string like used in chalk lines or even 30# monofilament with pieces of wood tied to each end...be creative) to wrap around the plastic button fasteners to help remove them by applying an equal force around the O.D. of the fastener shank when pulling down to remove the fastener. This seemingly "strange suggestion" was a real labor saver that resulted in not creasing or denting the liner if using a pry type tool.

Good luck and just be patient. It will amaze you how simple it actually is.

exactly. you don't get it out without not bending/curving it.

i.e. you have to bend it/curve it.
