Can't get oil pan off
I am in the process of performing a lot of maintenance of the Rover one being the oil pan gasket, but I cannot get this this thing off to save my life, and YES, all of the bolts and nuts are off, including the big ones in the back.
I suspect the last time this was done, they used some heavy duty sealant. I am reticent to pry as I may damage the pan or the block. Any advice is appreciated...

If you are absolutely sure all bolts are out, grab a large rubber mallet and give it a few good whacks from each direction. If you don't have a mallet, hold a block of wood against the pan and hit it with a large hammer. It will come off, just don't get crazy on it, patients and persistence is the key.

I dropped my oil pan today from my Disco 2 to clean the oil pickup tube (plus I'm going to install new rod bearings).
The oil pan did not stick to the block. That's a fantastic stock OEM gasket on these motors.
It did not require tapping. It did not require prying. When I broke loose the last oil pan bolt the pan came down with the bolt as I continued to unscrew it.
So...I would suggest that if your oil pan isn't dropping that you do not have all of the bolts out of it yet.
