My son and I have been tinkering with an '03 D2 since he was 15 y/o. Back then he was 6'. Now he's 16 1/2 y/o and is 6'5". I need to get him some more leg room. I've read you can gain 2"-3" (of leg room) by pulling the seats of and reversing the seat rails. I've seen one video on YouTube on how to do it, but it was not great. Has anyone done this? Is it really just that simple as pulling off the seats and spinning the seat rails front end to back?
I'm on vacation for another week and would love to get this done.
I don't know, but there was a couple threads about extending the seat tracks. This was in the last 2 weeks.
So should be an easy find in the D2 section.
Can't download pictures for some reason, so I posted in the original topic...explaining procedure...well, to the best of my memory...it's been a few weeks now.
It's pretty straight forward once you start looking things over under there.
I'm starting out the new year with about 4 extra inches of leg room! The directions were great. You do struggle with the inside rail hardware, but if you're willing to cut-down your H8 hex head socket to just a nub, it goes together quite quickly! You don't have to remove the seat, and no electronics are disturbed.
