Going through new truck and figuring out what loose ends need fixing. Im fortunate to have access to a spare parts truck.
Factory front driveshaft with worn u-joints
Worn power steering hoses
Radiator with broken nipple and a half *** fix resulting in a coolant leak
Cracked windshield cowl trim

Snap some pictures of the frame when you get a chance. Just looking at the steering shaft in the last picture, looks rust free. Mind looks like it's spent the better part of its life with Charlie's Tuna.
All of those issues look pretty minor and easy fixes, especially since you have a spare rig. Good eye though, because these are minor issues that can turn into big ones if gone unchecked.
Looking forward to seeing it's transformation.
Brian.

Its been a busy week and things are coming along gradually. I made some revisions. Swapped over the Tom Woods front drive shaft, alternator, airbox assembly & MAF sensor and fixed the ground to the battery. Next I swapped over all 5 wheels and tires, its a very tight fit but no rubbing as far as I can tell. Still need to replace the radiator and I want to flush the cooling system and run some distilled water for a cycle.
Also need a upfront o2 sensor and possibly an abs sensor for one of the front wheels. Im getting one of those gear ratio monitoring (4th) faults. The truck feels solid but when I hit speeds above 30 mph it feels like the transmission is not changing gears like it should, consequently the rpm meter gradually soars the longer you maintain pressure on the accelerator. Im going to do a fluid and filter change on the transmission to see if that smooths things out.
Swapped over the 235/85/16 BFG KO2's; stock suspension and no rubbing!
