Back door leak? Resolved

Back door leak? Resolved
Been having massive amounts of water seeping through my back door. Previous owner used rolled foam weather stripping but it’s been deteriorating so I ripped it out nd put a more legit gasket. It fits perfectly and so far, no leaks! Got it at Ace Hardware. I’m sure it comes in diff colors but browns actually kind of nice. Cost me $8. See pics:

you can insert a round grey foam sealer between the rubber to make it thicker again from home depot. They come in different diameters. It will be tucked inside the factory weather seal and it is not visible. Cheers

Various owners have addressed this issue multiple different ways, I just found what worked for me. Cheap quick-fix solution. My upper seal is fine too and I think I also have a tweaked door (only leaks bad in right corner).
What helps too is the latch is on a slider, you can unbolt it and move it inward to achieve a tighter fit.
