whats your highest amount of miles out of one tank?

I go through a tank maybe every 3 weeks or so if I just go between work and home. There is not much to drive to. I could drive around the whole island (if it didnt have HUGE boulders on the west side of the island at Ka'ena point) about 2 and a half times before I'd run out of gas. I think how close I live to work actually works against my fuel mileage. I live only about 3 miles from my work, which I would normally run or bike, but I don't like showing up to work sweaty, and more importantly there is about a mile smack dab in the middle of my journey that I must be in a car for! lol

Just filled my second full tank of gas after 2 weeks of commuting: 305 mi / 21 gallons ~ 14.5 MPG.
The fuel light had just come on, so I'm guessing I had about 4 gallons reserve.
According to my UltraGauge, the low point was about 4MPG going up a long steep hill and 61MPG going down the same.

Haha around town I try to keep it below 2k RPM. When it's still warming up I never let it get above 2k. It's mostly a mix of city and highway driving. And that's in the spring with the windows up most of the time and no accessories on besides the radio. And it was just that one time. Most of the time I'll get between 330-360 per tank. No roof rack yet. And that's with 265/60R18s, or 30.5s. Now with the lift I'll probably get less. And less when I do the roof rack. When I'm all done with it I'll be happy if I can do around 300 miles.

Just filled mine from E to Full for the first time to get a proper mpg check and it make it 325.2 miles with a fillup of 21.562 gallons for a average trip mpg of 15.11 mpg. I got this with mostly city/highway driving and approx 10-15 mins of idle when waiting to get the car inspected and around 30 mins of "erratic" driving trying to make the car slide in the snow. So hopefully ill see 350 the next time around

I'd love to visit, but not live there.

I don't think the lift will change your mileage much. Tire size and roof rack do though. I have the OME lift, running 265/75/R16 BFG ATs and a roof rack. I may go deaf with the roof rack. I also have the ARB front bumper and a winch and Columbia Rovers rock sliders so there's quite a bit more empty weight. I get about 12 mpg with a combination of city and highway driving. Years and years ago when gasoline was less than a dollar a gallon, I had a 1973 3/4 ton Jeep truck. It was a wonderful truck, tough as can be, but really hard on gas mileage. It would get 9 - 10 mpg in 2 wheel drive. Lock the hubs and shift to 4 Hi and it would get 7, shift to 4 Lo and get 4 mpg. It's a good thing it had two tanks. The Jeep had leaf springs at all four corners. I lifted the truck by taking it to a spring shop and having the springs re-arched and adding a couple of leaves to the stack. I had that truck for four years and all the work I did on it was either regular maintenance or elective. I never had a serious problem and was never stranded.
