Correct. The top hose assembly is something I'd swap out every 60-90k miles.

I’ve got the whole assembly coming. No telling how old the hoses are so I guess we’ll change it all to be sure. I don’t want to get stranded! Thanks for all the information and comments.

Since you are making a mess anyway, you may want to swap out the lower hoses and thermostat as well....

Ha ha. You bet a mess! Already changed the lower hose earlier this year and thermostat too. Blew out at a red light on a blustery cold day. Luckily the wife was around to save me from perishing in a parking lot waiting for the tow truck to arrive!

Best drain pan available...is one of those round blue plastic pools you buy for the grandkids. Fits nicely between the wheels and catches about 99.99% of the fluid. Naturally, the grandkids have out grown using it.

I got tired of dealing the plastic junk and finally spent the money for one of these...

Love it.

Do NOT put that brass screw in an aluminum T fitting. Brass can react with aluminum and corrode.

That's good advice.

Not sure how the leap was made that I was putting a brass screw in it. It has a stainless steel screw that works just fine...

Hey best 4x4 that’s a great idea! I have prepared the shop vac for liquid and that’s what I’ll do. Deputy suggested an inflatable kids pool, which is a great idea too, but I don’t have one. I’m dead in the water till the parts arrive. Tracking sez today.
