36" led light bar on the top of the back door
ebay $40
You'll be able to see behind you then, lol
And rock lights, 1 led mounted in the top center of each fender well, makes 4wheelin at night easier.

I was thinking of buying square led brake/tail light blocks and putting them in existing tail light housings. That’s more difficult than your ideas though

Yeah, just looking for something simple right now -- knowing my luck i'll back out of a parking spot and someone will be right there and it'll be all my fault because i don't have a reverse light.

Ugh.

Here's what you were thinkin' Cosits's

Narrowed the reverse lights down to these guys.. they should fit into the steel bumper that is already installed on MagPie.

The lower diamond plates in this pic actually have holes cut out behind them already, so i'll probably be able to fit them into there with a little welding / grinding. I think the PO or the PPO must have tried to mount the OEM reverse lights in these cutouts but said f-ck it because they did such a ****ty job cutting out the holes out. I'll snap a pic tomorrow and show you guys

That is my backup light config on my Kalahari. Just some 14.99 LED lights from Northern Tools.

Hmm.. Not bad. Its a shame there are literally no Northern Tools in the state of CO though

Probably gonna order those ones i posted but.. Alas, i am lazy.

Got about 300miles out of my tank of gas yesterday -- filled up with 19ish gallons so thats roughly 15miles a gallon which is isn't bad. So when the light comes on, there is roughly 5 gallons left in the tank?

In other news, i found this which i might go ahead and get -- and external temp monitor/display. One thing i miss about my old 12' Volvo (and most modern cars) is an external temp display just so i know how hot it is outside. Seems kinda dumb but there is something mental in my brain that feels better when i know how hot it is.. or cold

This could easily fit in a number of places -- even though i have USB ports now, i'd rather hardwire in something like this so looking at pin outs for USB's for switched 12v.

An UltraGage will show you the outside air temperature.

Ok just kidding about the external temp dealio -- found a better unit IMO. The one above i think would be crappy in the direct daylight plus, i'm really just looking for a numbered display, don't need color coded blah blah to tell me how hot it is.

Sooo.. found THIS

http://a.co/65mJOGF

Dual temp gauge with probes. Great, one probe for external temp and one for internal The only bugger with this unit is that it is only in C and no in F which isn't the end of the world.

Then i found THIS one

http://a.co/bqChafI

Single temp display in F. Perfecto. The only problem with this little fella is that the probe length is only about 11" which is probably to short so the leads will have to be extended. No biggie.

Whats nice about these units is that they take a direct 12v power source unlike the first one i posted about which uses 5v (usb) so doin't have to rummage through my electronics crap to find bits to make a step down converter from 12v -> 5v.

I think you are right but i believe it takes the reading from the IAS which is a lot hotter than ambient temps...?

I don't know, but saturday, when I tried to start mine, I hooked up the UG. The truck never ran, but the UG reading of the outside temp was within 1-2 degrees of what the weather ap in my phone said the temperature was.
