Default Transfer case install - CDL switch wiring

I finally got the console out and transmission tunnel exposed and had a chance to look at the existing wiring.

Those 2 unconnected black lucar connectors are definitely for CDL, but what is the beige plug with the terminated black barrel for? It has the same connector that the new-style diff lock switches have, but the genders are opposite. See photos

The original plan was to solder both diff lock switches in parallel to join up with those 2 lucar connectors... but this other connector with the terminated plug has me confused

New case - 2 diff lock switches, each with a wiring harness to match the lucar style

Jeff,

Grammin has had great success with CDL sensor wiring. He may be someone who can help with your question:

Good luck!

Thanks, I went through that whole thread... didn't see any mention of the connector I'm referring to.

Going to leave the unknown connector alone - I think it's a resistor or something to stop the diff lock lamp from illuminating if fuse 25 is blown

Wiring the switch harnesses in parallel to meet up with the 2 lucar connectors on the transmission harness

Tested, and it works, however I don't like the fact that the rear switch causes the light to go on preemptively, in other words, the light goes on if you are trying to engage diff lock. So you never know for certain if you are actually in diff lock. I think this is by design accordingly to the manual
