Defender 110 D300. engine instant reving 'flare'
. . . new 2021 Defender 110 D300. Auto. 10,000klms. (deliv Nov 2021)
This morning started engine - transmission on - took foot off brake - instant REVVVVING 'flare'.
Turned off. Tried again (twice). Same. Rang LandRover HelpLine. (now waiting)
Drove home last night - no issues.
Any suggestions, pl ???

Problem solved. NO FAULT of the vehicle.
EXtremely embarrassed to report: after transporting "Fendy" 400 klms (on a flat-tray truck) arrived at the dealership - rolled it off - went to (office) filled out paperwork. Waiting for a taxi - noticed (10 minutes later) a minion 'parking' Defender with NO Revs. Asked HOW ? He explained the accelerator peddle had been jammed under the floor-mat. (they're v solid + clip into place).
(a family member had cleaned all the floor-mats, previous night before 'packing' ).
Our credibility's taken-a-hit . But confidence in 'Fendy', returned. (Thought it may've been the Accessory-belt Drive)
