I run a stock size 255/55/18 and according to Tire Size Calculator, a 255/65/18 would probably correct for the speed difference I'm seeing between my GPS and the gauge. Wondering if anyone has actuallyl tried correcting via tire size.

It does work. I've done it by replacing worn out tires back to a stock size. If your calculations are correct, then math dictates that it will work like you want.

E=MC2 and all that...

How far off do you figure your speedo is and when checking with a GPS, how many satelites are you showing, it takes at least 8 of them to get a half way accurate number.
