Default Gas Cap Sensitivity

Hey guys, got a code yesterday and there is a story behind it. I forgot the exact code, but its like gross evap leak (something like that.), but thats not the important part. About every 3 months I get this code, its the only code my disco has thrown in about a year. There is not aleak what so ever and I brought it over to my local rover guy, he cleared it (for the 3rd time) and said, "lets look at you gas cap to make sure its ok". I had already done this, but when he saw it he noticed it was NOT an offical OEM land rover gas cap. SO i am guessing the owner before me changed it and that is causing the code... Thats my theory at least, could the cap be that sensitive?? It fits well as far as I can tell, and since this is my first disco I wouldnt not have noticed the difference.

I would have snaped a pic this morning but I forgot, I will get one this afternoon. Or if anyone has a pic handy of a normal one that would help.

Also, where can I get a replacement?

Thanks guys!

You need to get the exact code, there are close to 15 different ones and they don't mean your gas cap is leaking.
By the way, the fact that it is an after market cap will have no bearing on your issue.
