Default About to lift the Disco 2

So my good buddy G Reeves has recently lifted his Disco and it has inspired me. He has talked me into the OME 2" kit so I don't have to mess with brake lines or anything like that. Im not looking for anything crazy as I don't do anywhere near the stuff the rest of you guys do. Very basic trails, and driving around some property I have. No rocks or anything like that. I am just about to pull the trigger but there is a lot to choose from. Can one of you gents post a link to exactly what I need? I don't want to order the wrong thing and have to send it back. It is a 2001 Discovery 2 SE7. I plan to use the spacers in the back and keep the airbags.

Also, do you think it will look awful with the stock tire size for the time being? They are pretty new tires and I don't wanna get new ones yet as I spend most of my fun money on guns and ammo.

As always I appreciate the input. Thanks Disco Mike for the helping hand last summer on the phone with us, this is a great community and im proud to be a part of it.

I have OME MD springs part #s 777 front and 781 rear and that would be what you would want based on your setup and driving needs described, I would think. Since you are keeping the air suspension, you will just need the front springs then. You can then go with OME shocks to match, or I went with TerraFirma +2 shocks, just in case I want to remove the sway bars and get a little more articulation later on.

Thanks! Do you have any more info on the spacers? Like a company who makes them or something? Not sure what to look for.

RTE makes a set of spacers that will adjust between 2 and 3.5", might also check with Lucky 8 for a different brand that I think they offer.
As for shocks, go with the OME Sport Shock, it is far better then the T.F. shock.
Post some pictures when you are done.

Terrafirma, RTE and Toddco make SLS spacers. I installed the TF spacers in my DII.

wreckdiver posted some info in his blog about his lift install and the spacers:
