Lift Issue
OK, got the lift done at Rovertym all seemed fine, put on the ARB Bumper with XD9000 two days ago... again seemed fine. Went to check that things were still level front to back after the weight added to the front and found one side a full inch higher than the other... this was confusing so I moved around some of the SLS adjusters... one seemed to cause a change, the other no matter what I did nothing seemed to move.... is there something special that needs to be done to get them to adjust? any other advice would be helpful as well. Having a truck that's not level is a bit disturbing.
OK, spent a little more time on things. For some reason after waiting then going back out it began to adjust again. I do get 'sput' kind of sounds and it lowers then tries to go up again goes 'sput' again and lowers if I have them adjusted above a certain height. It sounds like a pressure check valve of some kind which is odd because Rovertym seemed to think they'd go up more if needed but I don't seem to be able to get them to. Tweaking the two sides back and forth I've managed to get things to within a half-inch on the front left-right and within a quarter inch in the rear left-right. How precise should it be? How much is the non-even surface of the driveway going to affect this as well? I'm going to go try to make the adjustments in a more level parking lot tomorrow. Knowing what the apparent height limiting factor is causing the noise would be very helpful though.
So I have a question, did you use the RTE 2" spacer and the adjusters, if so how high are you trying to make it?
Go measure at all 4 tires, the height from the ground up thru the center of the wheel to the lower portion of the black plactic tirm, give me your measurements and tires size.
Mike
