Buying some new wheels for my LR3 and two of the tires need to be replaced. I used to own a Volvo and they always recommend changing all 4 tires on their AWD models (supposed to keep you from frying the AWD system). I know my LR3 is AWD and 4WD so . . . my question is: Do you need to replace all 4 tires or is the system such that just changing 2 tires won't hurt.

 

You need to change all four at the same time or even five. I got five when I upgraded tire sizes and rotate the spare in when tires are rotated.
