I'm considering swapping my 18" rims for 16". There seem to be limited options for the factory size 255/65R. Any issue going with 255/70 or 75? I'm looking at BGFs or maybe Toyo A/T II. May also look at Nittos.

May look at the Nokian A/T as well. Can't find much feedback on them. But their other tires are great.

Note that I don't have any lift.

 

Hancook dynapro, general grabber at2, Yokohama geolandar ats and many others are all available in the stock size. Going to a 255/70R16 shouldn't be a problem though.

I want better wet braking than the Hanook's will deliver. I'll check others as well. I spend 8 months of the year commuting on wet roads in the hills.

 

I run Treadwright Guard Dogs in 245/75/16. No problems, the only thing I will say is they are not the quietest tire but not as noisy as some other m/t's I've run.
