$40 at frys- Boss 1200 Watt amp

and 2 of these subs- $75 on ebay- Kicker CompVT 08CVT654


or is my amp too powerful? any suggestions?

Yes it will work, not sure how it will sound but that amp (and pretty much any amp) you can adjust what it sends to the subs. On that one looks like it has it on the amp as well as a mountable version so you can mount it on your dash to adjust as needed. You will have to play with it to get the sound as best you can

To me the thing to pay attention to is the RMS ratings. Those subs are 150W RMS at 4ohm. The amp at 4ohms does 230w x 2 RMS so actually they match up pretty well.

Thanks! That's kinda what I figured with the RMS. ...but it's good to hear from someone else.

Now, I've got the old dash stereo out, old cd changer out and old subs/amp out.

I bought this Sony deck and plan to power / wire my 4 speakers to this as well as the tweeters.

This might be a dumb question ....Looking at the back of the deck, there doesn't appear to be separate rca jacks for the subs and rear speakers. How do I separate the signals?
