Default 2000 xkr

Yep. 'Bought it on eBay for $8600, then went crazy. It's now a 615hp monster with a newer 4.2L engine, Kenne Bell 2.6 supercharger, big intake with custom MAF, KB Boost-a-Pump, Mercedes Benz blue-top solenoids in the tranny, and an O.S. Giken locking rear diffy. I also have methanol/water injection on that beastie, custom exhaust, lowered it, and run the huge Brembo brakes and 2006 BBS wheels. Oh, yeah, the subwoofer is bitchin'. =)

Perhaps the newer ones are more difficult, but I have a 74 E type and an 86 Daimler Double Six, both V12s, and have done plugs on both. It is easier if you unbolt the AC compressor to reach the front two, but the rest are not bad. These are long lived engines as long as they don't overheat and not too hard to maintain.

Those inboard disk brakes are another story - hard to reach the beeders so they don't get bled often enough and eventually the calipers corrode from moisture in the fluid and stick. I have three that need the rear brake calipers re done right now and the conventional "wisdom" says you have to drop the whole rear cage to do it.

Talking Who you callin' a ****** ?

I've been driving Jags for the last 20 years or so and I've heard 'em all. I've never had a V12, just the 4.2 6 cylinder XK engine and the AJ27 V8. Both developed and built by Jaguar. Ford did use a variant of the AJ V8s in the Lincolns, I'm not sure if they still do, since Tata acquired Jaguar. Call me a masochist. The Disco has probably been more trouble, but it's still passing emission and safety inspection and going strong.

AHH good ole BL and there that will do mind set. Jags are just like Rovers hit or miss. You either love them and take the issues with a grain of salt or you buy them get pissed and sale it off.
