this morning (16F outside temp.) wife started the LR2, I came down 30 sec. later and saw red battery symbol on the dash. After the usual warm-up RPMs went down, and I started drivng -the light did not go off. Shut off the engine, re-strarted the truck -no problems, no more warning symbol, LR2 drove fine after that.
First, I would suggest you not do the warm up period you mentioned, this is very hard on an engine which is running full rich during the open loop/warm up period.
Start it, give it 30 seconds to 1 minute and go.
As for the fault code, I would suggest you find a shop that can read your battery/alternator voltage which should be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts.
