So my wife absolultely loves the Land Rover and we are considering an '08 LR2 to get rid of her Highlander Limited, but don't know much about them... Thought on fair price and performance... thanks

buy a LR certified one cause otherwise its a hit and miss with a used car and when problems occur she gets no rentals or no help.

Hi I just purchased a used 2008 LR2 SE for 27,000. I am pretty sure I overpaid but that is the going rate in my area and I didn't want to drive far to get a better deal and I was lucky to find the one I did. It has 28,000 miles and has the Technology and lighting packages. I was hesitant with all of the problems that I have been reading about and am now finding out that it seems the SEs are the ones that have the most problems so I hope I made the right decision. I have only had it for 3 days and love it but today the battery light went on while I was driving and now I am nervous! good luck in your decision!

Well after all the help I received here and reading other boards, and doing some research, I didn't want to pay for the LR and have all the problems I have been reading... Heck after the first guy said to buy one that was certified, or not you won't get any help, we figured we didn't want to go down that road, so we ended up buying a 2010 Chevy Traverse, and we are both happy with the decision. Thanks and good luck with your LR Scooby.
