Default About to buy 2003 Range Rover....help?

Hello all. I'm about 99% picking up a 2003 Range rover from the local Nissan dealership. Drove it today and it runs strong, however the AC does not work (i heard its some circuit board that needs to be replaced), the steering wheel telescopes in and out but not up/down, the pixels are starting to go on the odometer and lower display. Other than that, the truck is sound and has 97.5k miles on it. Calling the local dealership to see if the recall has been completed, but wanted to get your opinions on things to look for / prepare for by owning this truck. I've owned 4 p38's and (unfortunately) am used to spending money on heater cores, blendor motors and air ride. Are there gremlins like that on the MkIII's? Thanks in advance.

The MkIIIs are built better in my opinion. So you shouldn't have as many problems, however the MKIII problems tend to be harder to diagnose and more expensive. The A/C could be a number of things. Before you start throwing parts at it, I would start with the obvious, like testing to see if the compressor is getting a signal to start. If not, find out where the signal stops or if its getting a signal at all. Make sure it has refrigerant too .

Thanks for the quick reply. Here's where things are. I think I'll be able to get it for $12,250 w/ all known issues. Called the dealership this morning and they said it has not had its front differential recall done yet. It also had a new radiator done about 40k miles ago and has been good otherwise. I'm thinking that may be a good price.

Honestly the price is good, but for the headache it is not worth. Move on and look for a better 2003 Range Rover that does not have a problem.

The odometer display is about $800 to replace with exchange.
