i've always loved the way rover classics look. i'm seriously considering buying one as a toy. my options are either put the money towards my '03 disco for offroading. or pick up a cheap range rover classic to play with. decisions, decisions...
I bought mine to play with, have had it 3 years thus far. Its always nice to have a 2nd vehicle .

yeah. my options are put a few grand into the disco for offroading, or buy a RR classic with that few grand. then i'd still have to invest in one of them to make them a little more capable. hmm, i had decided on the disco, then you refreshed this thread...now what?!?!?!
IMO, the classic is a stout vehicle with style up the wazoo! And you don't really need to concern yourself with bumps and bruises associated with offloading your DD. I own a classic built for offloading a D1 and a P38. If you're in the market for a classic my buddy is selling his. It's in pretty good shape all around. I think hes looking to get around $2700 for it. If you'd like I can put you in touch with him.
i appreciate the offer, but this will be my tax return being spent. so no funds until January. plus i don't think i could make that drive. in the military, so not much free time. there is one that is a killer deal right now, but i can't talk my wife into dipping into savings for it. she knows me too well and i'll use the tax money to upgrade it rather than pay back savings. damn her.
thanks
jon
IMHO everyone should have a back up Rover in case you need to go get parts for the other one.
Well said. I kept my Disco just in case.....

after lot's of debating, and talking with my other half i've decided i am definitely getting a RRC and not setting the disco up for offroading. until she decides she wants to join me in her own ride, i'm sure.
You'll have fun with a classic! They are fun to drive, rugged (as usual), and have very interesting personalities .
