bump for 30+ reviews and no replies... found another harness sold by separate company...

Don't worry once i get this done I'll post pics and tell no one what i did.... that way the next person can have no help and be totally stuck... it's funny after all the forum searching no one has made a post on what they did exactly... i'll continue the trend for sure!!

Sorry I haven't had a chance to check out that ebay link, its blocked on my network.

I'm guessing nobody responded because:

1) this board has fairly slow traffic and it's been all of 3 days since you asked

2) nobody has tried it, or nobody on this forum.

There is another Rover forum that they kick around this type of stuff quite a bit. Send me a PM and i'll send you the link although you may already know about it.

You could also maybe confer with Roverville - the Rover radio specialists. They might be able to give you some insight: http://www.roverville.us/

Now - how about you be a nice guy and let us know how it goes? I for one would be thankful if you do.

I shipped my stock non-functioning radio to Roverville Radio and had it rebuilt. I think the stock system is great. I didn't respond to the post because I don't know anything about fitting aftermarket stereos to the Rover. If you have a question in the future about something that I know about, I will be more than happy to help.

I totally missed the link and did not understand the red coat thing so I had nothing to offer. I still do not know what to offer for it since I have opted to keep the stock radio.

Sounds good, thanks. Would you mind posting your specs - like what touchscreen you are using and stuff? If you have time to do a writeup I know there would be people very interested in how it turns out. The stock radios are decent but as times change they are more and more obsolete.

What coil kit did you use? I have the AB Bilstein kit (prior owner did it). Ride and handling are better than I thought they would be.

There are IPOD adapters for the Disco, I've seen on the Discovery side of the forum. It replaces the connector from the multi disc player. I don' know if it will help but good luck.

P.S. I have AB springs with OME shocks rides more like my Disco's did.

Hey guys been a real long time. Was just readjusting to life back in the states at the time. Figured to wrap this up for newer owners who are wondering.

So:
Coils sucked bad! I used Atlantic British, air suspension is definitely the way to go in my opinion and surprisingly very easy to work with thanks to other members and old posts.
my buddy cut the wires manually and hook it up professional like and at least in that model year there is no amp to worry about so it all matched up fine I also replaced the speakers with aftermarket kenwoods. A quick search on the forum(either this one or another, don't remember) gives the color codes to get 'er done!
