110 shifts to neutral in autostart
Just a quick update for everyone:
Still no issues with my 2023 D90 S going into neutral since I had the update done that's covered in the Topix article above. Used to happen all the time, now not once.
The work was done August 11 so it's been over two weeks at this point.
Good luck to everyone experiencing the issue. Push for that update!

Hello all,
I had the TOPIx update last Tuesday (five days ago).
I had collected statistical data on the shift to N problem over the eight weeks before the TCM flash which enabled me to establish the probability of an N event occurring using standard deviation analysis.
The analysis showed that the standard deviation was 12.5 which meant there was a 68% probability of an N event by about every thirteenth AutoStop/Start (Green A) cycles and a 95% probability of an N event within any twenty six AutoStop/Start cycles. I do on average around twelve AutoStop/Start cycles a day so N problems were pretty much a daily event.
Since the TCM flash I have had 61 AutoStop/Start cycles without an N event. This is the equivalent of five standard deviations without failure, which means now there is statistically the probability of only one failure in about two million cycles (if any).
Because I do on average around twelve AutoStop/Start cycles a day then the next N failure is now likely to happen in around 456 years time.
As I get a new car every ten years I am pretty much thinking the N problem is now not something I need to worry about. 😂
Bottom line is that the TCM update fixes the problem!

Yes, the software update for the Transmission Control Module fixes the dropping into Neutral problem. Get your dealer to do the update. It is TOPIx SSM75717 I am in Australia and my dealer did it so your dealer should be able to get the info too.
You can see the result from my car update on 23 August in post #32 above - it is fully fixed.
As it is now a documented 23MY P300 problem in their system with a known fix Land Rover should be contacting owners to get their cars in for updating - in my opinion. But don’t wait for them to contact you, even when I told them about it it took over a month to get a service booking, so the sooner you complain the better.

Thanks a lot Ross. Can I know your dealership so that I can ask my dealer to contact just in case if they are not across. I called the dealer and they said they are not across that. Thanks a lot for the info.
Dealer : Melbourne City Landrover

In the invoice they mentioned they applied a fix “AS PER SSM75806”.
I don’t have TOPIX access, I hope they applied the right fix. I gave them the copy of TOPIX 75717 as posted here.
Hopefully SSM75806 works too. I have no access to it so can’t see what it says.
So far all of the successful fixes that we know of have been a result of the good work of dllr who found and gave us copies of SSM75717. (Thanks dllr!).It actually describes a slightly different thing on other models but fixes this 23MY P300 unique problem.
Let us know if the new one worked for you in a week or so.

Well it’s been a little over two weeks since I had a fix applied, and no further events so far.
It also seems to me to have less auto start/stop events since the fix was applied.
