That’s great, I think it’s fixed for you too.

It would be nice to know what that TOPIx tells them to do. Maybe it just adds Defender to the original one which didn’t list it.

This just happened to my new truck this morning. Clearly JLR is not addressing it at the factory.

This has been known to them since May at least.

The TCM fix as described in the TOPIx above works, so ask them to do it. In the mean time disabling AutoStop is the safest thing to do, but you have to do that every time you start the car.

I just picked up my 23 S last week and it happened multiple times, seems like it happens when I stopped at a light for a long time, of course dealer couldn't reproduce the problem so they told me to record it when it happens but when it happens, I am frantically trying to put the car in Drive and holding up the line for everyone behind me....

It happened last night, same situation like someone mentioned, I tried to shift it in Drive multiple times and pressing on the brake pedal and it took several tries to get it in Drive.

Also, even when I disable brake hold, the car still enable the feature...

We have a confirmed fix for this. Go to the dealer with a printout of the Topic article posted in this thread and ask them to do it.

My autostart would constantly shift to neutral and I've never had an issue since I had a dealer perform the work in the Topix article.

https://landroverforums.com/forum/at...utral-afte.pdf

This is the link to the TOPIx75717 which fixed the problem for all of us. It is a revision to the TCM (transmission control module).

The only (ONLY) way to avoid it happening before the TCM is upgraded is to switch off AutoStop every time you start the car. It only happens when you have a Green A (AutoStop) showing and is nothing to do with auto hold.

Unfortunately it can’t be programmed to stay off through the menus so you have to remember to do it every time you start up.

Just tell the dealer it is a well documented problem with 23MY P300 vehicles and to do TOPIx75717 asap.

Someone else said their dealer did a different update TOPIxSSM75806. We haven’t seen what it says but it is a later number so might be an updated one you could ask them to look into.

SSM75717 has worked for the rest of us. You could ask them to do it again just to absolutely ensure it has been done properly.

Is your car a 23MY P300?

Thank you, will provide that to them and see what they say, I am getting the manager involved and yes I do have the MY 4 cylinder.
