The only way this would work for me is to take a look at the original 130s and make it a “crew cab” with truck bed in back. I would go for that ASAP. The Defender version of an Excursion is just a monstrosity to form for me.

If you think it meets your zen, wish you luck with it.

Where do you find those drawings? Do you have them for the 110?

Looks better than I expected! 110 seems to the sweet spot, but one could see the utility trump aesthetics for the 130 on balance.

They are great drawings. It went with this story.

Theoretically, they should exist for the 90 and 110

We used the LR4 to move our daughter into college and it was stuffed to the headliner plus a roof box on top. No idea how all that stuff is going to fit in the 110 when we move her home in spring, I miss the cargo room of the LR4 and would certainly consider a 130 for the extra cargo room as long as I can get it without third row seats.

that version also removes the biggest sin of the 8 seater, that nasty bump in the cargo area created by the rise of the last row.

That bump is eliminated from all 2024 130s as far as I understand it. Including those with the 3rd row.

I'm trying to figure out how they accomplished it. My guess is they just raised the floor back there with an enclosed storage box/area. But 2024s aren't on the ground yet to see. All we have is this one picture from the configurator. If this is the case I plan to figure out the JLR part numbers once they become available to see if I can 'update' my 2023.5 with the 2024 flat floor solution.

You are correct, they added a removable storage box to create flat floor for loading objects, very much like a 2015-2020 Escalade.
On the US site the 130 interior details show a Flat Cargo Space Floor Tray▲ with the notation that it is available late 2023 and to ask your retailer for details.

I don't believe the Outbound edition would have that box (or an extended version of it), I am thinking it would be like a 2023 5-seater with a lower flat floor but more of a hump from the 2nd row seats as a trade-off. I never did see any real-world photos of a 2023 130 with 5-seats, surely someone ordered it that way around here??
