Or…a family station wagon where the crew comfortably travels in style, undergirded with great engineering, and one that can competently tow 8,201 pounds (or in our case, a 7,000 lb. wakeboard boat and trailer).😊

130 is hideous. Terrible departure angle, carpeted interior, no alpine windows, and bigger than I need.
110 offers all the storage I need* I add a hitch cargo carrier and roof box when camping. Cooler, firewood, water and trash go outside. Frees up all the real estate. Skis, trees, boxes, lumber, fuel, shovel etc. go on the roof.
Proportions on the 130 look like a hearse or the Ghostbuster mobile.
I agree with what you said about the alpine windows & the looks and the length of the vehicle being more balanced with the 110. At first I wanted a 130 because of the extra space at the back, but in Europe (Belgium) it is a bit too long for most (parking)places. For me the 110 was the ultimate solution with the 2 extra seats at the back. In the future I will purchase a roof box with the roofcarriers.
The 110 makes for a much better off road vehicle (the 90 better still) with a 40 degree departure angle and shorter overall length. It's also lighter by 600 lbs and less expensive. Unless you need the extra 13" of cargo space offered by the 130, not sure why anyone would go for the larger truck.
why do people call the defender a truck? A truck has a bed which the defender does not. It’s an suv.

that’s where I’m at. I have a Raptor to tow our wake boat (and off road itch), but that’s 5 seats and my family is 5+ a dog and we need something to carry kids friends now. Avoiding mini vans and full size actual truck frame huge SUV, the defender 130 is a solid option. Looking to do the Urban diy customization and it’s hard to beat a 130 if you have actual need for more than 5 seats. Practically a Telluride prestige is better value for the money, “nicer” interior, better ergonomics, but it doesn’t have the James May fizz factor a defender does.
if it’s just me and the wife, we’ll take the Aston which is so much less a bus than a defender 90 .
