I live in Norway and consider buying 110 crew cab TD5 2003 for towing mini digger (2t plus trailer 1t) thru the 140meters deep tunnels connecting islands (steepest part is 8.5%. Length of the incline about 1.8km)

I will be towing thru tunnel not on daily basis but few times a month.

Do you think 110 TD5 cc is a good choice for that type of towing?

The Defender will handle that trailer, although it won't be very fast on the hills. You might need to use low range.

The Defender TD5 towing limit is 3,600kg braked.

A "Stage 1" remap or engine chip will transform it.
