Default 2020 Defender front skid plate

Does anyone have any experience with off brand skid plates? The factory offering looks to be more of a job than I wish to tackle…. This one looks like it may give the look without having to remove the bumper and fight to get it installed 🤷🏼‍♂️

The OEM version are 5mm aluminum and Metzlar (sp?) are 5.5mm aluminum. Are these cosmetic or actually supposed to protect down there? I thought the OEM/Metzlar versions came with a more beefy support bar to handle the level of impacts the plate thickness was designed for. If cosmetic, should be no problemo. If you want it for the protection when off-roading, I'm not sure the support members would handle the impacts.

Grouse is right, the OEM version has a larger sub-frame support as compared to this one.

I did the install without removing the bumper in less than 2 hours taking it slow. Watch the unofficial video on PowerfulUK. I did take the front wheel arch liners off as only 4 screws and made it easy to get in a line up clips and such as i removed and installed. It looked intimidating and was sure I would end up having to call in help, but, didn’t. One man job.

Awesome, thanks for this, I'll be tackling this and a few other bolt ons myself (pending imaginary Defender manifesting in the real world)

I ordered mine (the OEM version) from PowerfulUKLtd powerfuluk.com and all worked out well.

This one is a direct buy, direct ship from China with Amazon acting only as an order input service. Personally, I try to stay away from that portion of Amazon's services -- particularly on large cost purchases... But, that is just me .....
