MrBreeze -- does your config have the 10" screen or the new 11.4" screen? I'm trying to gauge whether the larger-screen orders are getting pushed to August delivery (as some folks on this forum appear to be hearing from their dealers).

Thanks,

I am told it will have the new 11.4 but based on the vague ordering process between the dealer and JLR, I can't be 100% certain.
There is nothing in the order details that indicates screen size besides MY22.

You will have one of the first my22 builds as production starts on 4/15.

Did you get an updated order sheet that shows the 11.4 screen as an option? Since you are so early in production they might have enough supply on hand to get to the orders at the beginning of the line.

I think every Land Rover build date is a Friday, so your dealer is playing silly buggers again @Moretti ! 4/16 will be the end of the week in which it is built, so how you got a 4/15 I don't know. Colud be you are special, but based on your prior I'd suspect they just made something up for you.

I was going off from memory from the order guide. Just checked and the first my22 build is 4/12 not 4/15.

Ah! I mis-interpreted; I thought you were saying YOUR build was 4/15. One of these days I'll learn to read.

Man, I really am getting one of the VERY last 2021s, given that the build date is this week.

I am very early in the process and want to go ahead with an order. I am in the central part of the country in a small state that only has one dealer. Probably pretty low volume. As I have reached out to the owner who I've known for years and bought many vehicles from, he says the ordering process is "very difficult". I think he's trying to set me up to just settle for something that comes through the pipeline which isn't very often at this dealership. I am willing to be very patient, even if it takes six months to get just what I want. Willing to put down deposit, etc.

I know they sell every Defender that arrives straight off the track so they probably have no incentive to try to work with someone and "hassle with" a custom order.

Any tips or pointers when dealing with dealerships such as this?

The Order Sheet indicates MY22 but the detail says 10" Touchscreen - which is different than what the dealer told me, so I'm having them validate/confirm and adjust if necessary in order to ensure it has the larger 11.4" screen.

With your last day of amendment being today, I hope that they were able to adjust that for you. The my22 builds have both 10 and 11.4 screens choices with the 11.4 screen reflecting $140 upcharge.
