Hi, i think am having some issues with the 2022 defender 90 adaptive cruise control as for some reason it won’t activate. I can use the normal cruise control just fine but when i press the gap increase of decrease button it tells me to hold the gap increase to activate the adaptive mode but for whatever reason it just will not activate at all. Anyone knows how to activate it or restart the entire system!?

 

I have a 2022 Disco5, which has the same system. I'm assuming JLR is still using one of the Bosch Mobility OEM units for this.

This isn't the easiest interface that I've encountered for this stuff. There is Queue mode, Follow Mode etc. Check this page. One has to keep track of the little icons on the display to see what sub feature is actually active. And yes, holding buttons down for a period of time can toggle stuff.

I still am not sure why sometimes when I think I'm in the right mode, the car won't brake when approaching a vehicle at a stop light (especially coming around even a slight corner to bring the vehicle in view). I'm now thinking maybe it won't recognize vehicles in all situations because it simply isn't suppose to, depending on where the tracking started from.

And make sure you haven't accidentally toggled into Speed Limiter Mode, which disables adaptive cruise.
