2022 Defender Gearbox Fault Detected
I have a 23 defender 110 V8. Got a message on the dash stop safely electric fault detected. While i was at a red light. It happens during auto start/stop and goes away after a few minutes until the next time I stop at a light. Has anyone had any issues like that? Already took it to the dealer and they replaced the alternator. After 200 miles the message is back.
Mine did this once when I let some fool change my air filter.
If you don't tighten those six T20 bolts and insure the two oxygen sensors are right, the reaction is weird: "Gearbox fault detected" along with the messages about lack of emergency braking, "you can proceed in 2 wheel mode", but also gives a shaking snap in the transmission that can't be good.
No reaction for 15 minutes or so, then your vehicle will be in limp mod with symptoms above.

Yep I have 23.5 110 V8 Defender, mine has been in at JLR for a second go. First time round that told me it was resolved via a Firmware update. Happened again. So this time after a week, they're replacing the battery. Fingers crossed this works.
