The date was a joke. The next date was April 15, then April 22, and finally April 25.

BUT, it's now produced, and will hopefully arrive next week 😃

Anyone else been unslotted the same week as your scheduled build? My Carpathian Edition V8 was supposed to be built this week (May 13). Dealer told me no idea if/when I get a new production date and that all factory orders currently on hold until an official restart of 2023 Model Year later this year, badged as “2023.5”. Apparently prices all going up too to reflect supply chain challenges but orders like mine already secured will be honoured at original price.

I collected my 110 from JRL Newport Beach in March 2022, for an order placed in September. They honored the price I agreed at order placement but I had to pay for a ceramic coat finish and some protect film (not yet fitted). They also gave a rebate to compensate for factory price change ($958). Overall the experience was good. At handover, they did tell me that all L663 orders were now having a 10k mark up, and all JLR customers were being asked to pay for digital license plates ($1000). Patience is key.

Digital license plates for $1,000!? What is that? Has anyone heard of that before? Not disagreeing with you, @SPiNY - I just have a very low opinion of many Dealers. It doesn't sound like a JLR or LR-USA thing to me. Sounds local to the Dealer Group as an Add-On. Did they give you anything specific or any docs/links? Anyone else hear of this?

never heard of it either and had the same question. Seems like a scam same with those “coatings” that they are forcing on him.

Well, I got the Nitrogen in the tires and window tint (which they didn't do thankfully) for $350. I consider myself fortunate to only have to go thru that.

That's got to be the Reviver digital license plate, currently legal in CA and AZ. It may have it's appeal but making it a mandatory purchase, well I too have concerns about that.

That is exactly the product. It was only my salesperson’s comment, but all the showroom cars, including the Jags, had that Reviver plate fitted to the rear of the car. For sure it was a dealer add on, but they were clear and upfront about it. They did not try to sell it to me.

I realize there are cameras everywhere, and GPS on the vehicle and on my phone, but I'm not going to volunteer detailed driving information to some random third-party and be forced to pay for the privilege. I'm sure the dealership is getting a cut of the profits for forcing this on people, but I'd rather just pay them cash and avoid the digital plate. Given no other option, it would be plenty of reason for me to find a new dealer.
