2022 Defender orders taking place now
Works for me too. My wife can drive our kid's Honda Passport while they are away at college. Just need to get her a new Defender before the kids return and want "their" car back.
Just got word my build has begun on my 110 SE
I ordered in May. Build was initially set for 7/16.
Then bumped to 7/23
Got word a VIN is assigned so I guess that means it’s in production.
It seems the good folks at Nitra are back at work.

Any options get deleted?
Delivery was scheduled for very early September but it might even make it a touch sooner. In any case, they definitely seem to be building them, even though it might be a slightly delayed pace.
I picked up my Defender yesterday, 110 SE.
Here's my order timeline for those interested.
Order date: 4-16--I'm pretty sure the dealer updated an order already in the queue
Last amendment: 5-5
Original build date: 6-4
Actual build date: 6-14
On ship: 7-3
Off ship: 7-17
Original scheduled delivery: 7-30--scheduled delivery later changed to 8-14 and then went back to 7-30
At dealer: 7-23
Delivery: 7-24
Everything I ordered is there, including the 11.4 screen.
Except for the port installed options. I ordered the extended wheel arches, front undershield and deep-sided rubber mats. Somehow the dealer knew that they would not be available and notified me before the truck was on the ship. I was hoping they were wrong, but they weren't.

Order date was 4/27
Build date 6/10
Original delivery date 8/10
Revised delivery date 8/20
Mine is built and awaiting a ship in port.
BTW, their reviews are hilarious! Mostly truckers unloading complaining about the wait but quite a few gems regarding management.
