The passenger door on my 90 suddenly won’t open. The central locking sounds to be being triggered (and the central locking light on the door itself illuminates), the outside button on the door handle seems to be working, but neither the outside or interior door handles have any ‘bite’, must be locked. Any ideas please?

 

I believe there is a TSB on doors getting stuck. Take it to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty.

 

Thanks. I tried the battery disconnect, but that didn’t fix it. Booked into dealer now…

 

Do your mirrors fold when you lock it? Do you get two small horn beeps when locking? I sometimes have an issue with my passenger door not locking and my mirrors don't fold and i get two beeps. The alarm will still trigger if opened, but mechanically it doesn't lock. I read somewhere that the two small beeps and mirrors not folding indicate a locking fault.

 

Everything seems to work normally (you can actually hear the central locking actuator in the door], it just won’t open, I think the issue is mechanical rather than electrical. Possible a cable (as come adrift inside the door…Will update after LR Yeovil have hopefully fixed it.

 

Let us know what they find out once you get it back.
