Hey everyone, new to the Forum. We just picked up a new Defender 110…so far liking everything about it except a rattle that developed behind the second row. It seems to be coming from the cover on the cargo that lifts up to expose the extra storage and jack. Did a search but didn’t see anything on a rattle in that area. Tried some felt pads and didn’t have any luck.

If any has any suggestions, would be great to hear from you. Otherwise a trip to the dealer because that will drive us nuts on a trip we are taking in the coming weeks.

The emergency triangle in the tailgate has been known to cause some rattles.

My rear door with tire had to be adjusted a couple of times before noise went away. On last adjustment I noticed the dealership had added some black tape in the latch insert to make door more secure when it close. Hope this helps! The noise is horrible and wouldn’t expect for such expensive vehicle.
