When switching your eyes from the road to the mirror, there is lag for the eyes to focus, as the resolution between actual sight and the display is different. I occasionally switch it on at a light to see the car behind me, but I don’t think I could drive with it on all the time. Like most of the other responses, it is not needed for backing up, as the multiple camera views are more than sufficient for reversing situations. To summarize: I ordered it because it seemed like something to have, but in retrospect, it is not a deal breaker for me. I would not back out of an order due to its inavailability. The Defender has so many things going for it on its own, the ClearSight is a minor uptick that most could live without.
I had it on my Chevy Bolt and while it was a novelty at first, I rarely used it later on and forgot I had it. I would have enjoyed it for a bit, and maybe with a trailer found a use for it more than I did in the bolt I commuted with. Honestly at first it made my eyes feel weird when I looked at it, I'm older, and I wonder if my eyes were used to focusing one way and when they hit the mirror it didn't work like you thought so my eyes felt odd. It was the weirdest thing

Has anyone else experienced these issues? Do you think the car is even worth purchasing if I cannot have the features I wanted. Thanks and I hope too many haven’t experienced the same bad luck.
I'm in the same boat. I ordered 2023 110 X-Dynamic and will go without ClearSight mirror, the heads up display and the 11.4 inch screen. My original interest in the Defender was its ability to go off-road in comfort. These gimmicks are nice to have but not a deal killer. Personally, the 10" screen is more aesthetic in the vehicle. Additionally, the analog speedometer may be a reality for my Defender.

People keep saying this about the screen trying to make themselves feel better. Use it for a day, it's a 100x better experience.

I do like the larger screen, but the smaller does look more like a natural fit. The clearsight as others mentioned feels a bit unnatural and normally I don't use it but comes handy when my dogs in the trunk fully block the window. I do like the digi dashboard but use it much less than I thought and the reason is the HUD. I wasn't very fixated on it but after using it I love it. It reduces significantly the time I need to take my eyes off the road and is a rather well implemented solution (saying that without having it in any previous car). When I was waiting for the Defender, I thought the missing digi dash would be a dealbreaker, the rest I could've lived without, assuming they adjust the price, but would've cancelled if they just bump stuff and want me to pay the same price.

JLR is just "bumping stuff" and expecting us to pay the same price. It's a terrible customer experience and message sent from JLR.

Took delivery this week, how about only getting one key fob? Due to chip shortage, they will mail me second at some point, meanwhile have to be VERY careful with the one I have. I got the small screen and no electronic instrument display - kinda bummed that's missing. I loved having the wide satellite view there on the one I test drove.

I scanned over mine, and it has 'interactive driver display' called out (038ID Feature Code)

I did not see anything that said TFT Instrument cluster, but I went crosseyed reading it. It's an image of the form so it's not searchable and my aging eyes did not like trying to scan all the codes to see what is missing.

From what I turned in and what I got I'm not seeing the 11.4" Screen and the Rear Camera thing. I got a 110 SE base model and added almost every option. Wanted the white roof with the pangea green, was annoyed with the black edged interior on the upper models and lack of white roof. weird why that's not an option on the higher models.

Same, I got the 11.4 display and the digital instrument cluster, both specifically listed on the detailed sheet and no TFT mentioned anywhere.

I’m starting to wonder if the “auto wipers” functionality was also dropped? I’ve never had a car with auto wipers, and I am not sure if I have fully tested these in the right conditions, but it seems like to me that the auto setting is just an “intermittent” setting. If I leave the wipers on “auto” they never stop.
