Default 2023 Defender Order Guide

Here's what's new for the 2023 Defender.

Also, it looks like if you have any 2022 Defenders in the holding pool, they'll be moved to 2023 model year. Call your sales guide once the 2023 build & price tool is up to make sure it's to your spec.

Hope this helps for anyone interested.

Thanks for sharing. If my Defender hasn't been built yet and has a January delivery date, does that mean it will now be a 2023 model?

Yes, if it has not been slotted and is still in holding pool you will get yours sometime in March. They are no longer building 22's.

Edit: you should probably check with your sales guide, but most likely it will be built in January as a 2023 model.

X-Dynamic HSE removed (mine is on the way. So happy it got built last week). XS removed
Lantau Bronze?? For real?

Are fresh modern paint colors stuck at port due to Covid or something?

Do we really need yet another dusty looking brown? Welcome to 1999.

Thank you for sharing.

I had remarked to my sales guide that the number of trims available were really confusing to the consumer. I had to create a spreadsheet to break everything down to really understand what I was paying for to move up a trim level.

With that said they really did not change much for the 110. The XS was a special edition so its removal is not surprising. I would have rather seen them remove the standard trim and fill with the S as the only trim with the P300 (similar to the 90 for my23). I would then have a p400 Trim and then a P400 HSE Trim. Why they are muddling calling a trim X-Dynamic SE while not having an HSE trim brand seems silly. The X could really be removed and offered as some sort of package on the X Dynamic Trim, as its really only offering some variance in color options to a maxed HSE anyway. Although I guess it is now filling the HSE spot in the lineup.

11.4 touchscreen as standard maxes sense. Its pretty nice. I would not ever consider going with the smaller screen.

Lantau Bronze as a new color seems kinda weak....zanizbar would have been cool although maybe too similar to gondawa ...

@bakerman Guessing if I have a build date end of Nov with delivery end of January, it will be one of the last MY22? I will check with my dealer, but seems like it might be better off holding for a MY23.

I placed a deposit for a Defender 90 P300 Standard in July, with a delayed build date of 11/05/21 and 1/14/22 delivery. I don’t mind waiting, but I sure hope my order stays a MY22, as they apparently dropped that model for ‘23!

I'm guessing a-la-carte pricing to get comparable to one of those deleted upper trims will be a killer jump and you lose the badge so the trim-level resale value suffers.

That is a very good point! I would be ordering a X-Dynamic HSE (which will be dropped in MY23). Mainly, I am hoping the XD-SE will not have those freaking lower gloss trims.
